Norbert Health is building the future of ambient, predictive health which will ultimately help save lives and enable people to live longer and happier, at home.

Health care is in dire need of automation. 13M nursing jobs will be vacant by 2025, and it is urgent to reduce the workload of overworked nursing and medical staff. Healthcare needs automation to grow into the home as well – 265B worth of medicare costs are shifting from hospital to home by 2028. A seamless and automated solution for at-home medical monitoring is essential to this transformation.

Norbert Health has built the first contactless and automated vitals signs scanner that can measure heart rate, SpO2, temperature, breathing rate, pulse wave velocity in less than 20 seconds. All the patient needs to do is sit or stand within 4 feet of the device for 15 seconds. It is a sleek, plug-and-play, consumer grade device that is fully automated.

We are deployed in hospitals for pilots throughout the world, and are finalizing our bench tests before starting clinical trials in Q1 2023.

Our founder Alex Winter is a pioneer and repeat entrepreneur in computer vision and machine learning, started, grew and exited to venture backed startups in the field.

The Opportunity:

As our Chief Commercial Officer, you will be responsible for building our global sales and customer success operations, as well as drive the strategy and execution of Norbert’s hardware and subscription revenue. You will work to accelerate current channels and verticals, develop new verticals, build strong relationships with the best healthcare groups, optimize customer happiness. You will build a team, a culture, a strategy but will also be an active contributor to the sales pipeline and revenue.

We are pre-market right now, so your first mission will be to define our market strategy, go-to-market approach and build strong relationships with pilots and trial partners in the verticals you selected. You will then secure strong partnerships and generate pre-orders.

Once we go to market, you will structure and build up our sales, business development, and clinical affairs / deployment teams on the various verticals we address – hospitals, outpatient care, health at home. You will focus on a continent – EMEA or North America – but oversee revenue worldwide. You will hire and develop your Sales and Customer Success teams as well as define and implement processes and tools to enable an efficient, highly efficient and data driven organization. You need to be a hands on, thought leader who inspires and mentors colleagues and direct reports with clear thinking, market insight, customer understanding, problem solving, and top-notch enterprise deal making skills.

The ideal candidates should have an entrepreneurial spirit, be highly collaborative, with a passion for data driven growth.

  • Develop, prioritize and implement market strategy.
  • Prospect and close relationships with key target Accounts.
  • Oversee all Channel/Partner Development — adding new sales channels and 3rd party resellers and partners.
  • Create and grow a strong customer happiness culture, manage customer delivery and clinical relationships with our partners and customers.
  • Develop and implement sales and growth strategies. Create, nurture, manage, and grow a sales team on three continents.
  • Create accountability within the company by developing appropriate metrics and coordinating efforts across teams with these metrics.
  • Build and nurture an active sales funnel, closing new business opportunities while overseeing team members responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and closing
  • Drive a “lean startup” style environment of constant experimentation and learning.
  • Work closely with Product teams to define and prioritize Customer needs.

Key Requirements:

  • 10+ years of Sales, Business Development experience in a healthcare company, preferably in a startup environment – Or leading Sales in health technology products.
  • Ability to excel in both independent contributor and management positions, within a startup environment.
  • Proven ability to acquire, grow and retain new customers.
  •  Commitment to integrity, customer service and positive organization interactions.
  • Executive presence, strategic purpose and a deep sense of urgency.
  • Ability to handle tactical items while never losing sight of longer-term strategic goals.
  • Data driven decision making, adept at modeling financial justification of investments, deal and post deal metrics.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
