On 1 August 2019, LSEG announced that it had agreed to acquire Refinitiv (the Transaction), a global provider of market and financial data, analytics and workflow solutions, from a consortium of funds affiliated with Blackstone as well as Thomson Reuters. The proposed acquisition of Refinitiv, which is expected to complete in the second half of 2020 (subject to regulatory approval), would transform LSEG’s position as a leading global Financial Markets Infrastructure Group, significantly accelerating the execution of itsstrategy. Refinitiv brings highly complementary capabilities in data, analytics and capital markets, as well as deep customer relationships across a truly global business. The businesses share a commitment to open access and to partnering with customers to deliver innovative solutions across the financial markets value chain.

Role Profile

The Director, Equity Index Wealth reports to the Head of Equity Index Product Management, within the Information Services division at LSEG.  The role will be responsible for the development and execution of a 1, 3, and 5-year product strategy and plan for the Wealth segment, with initial focus on the Americas, and will collaborate with Sales leadership to develop a segment strategy. The Director will partner with Research and Marketing to lead the development of new index products for the wealth channel, including creation of product requirements, value proposition and go-to-market execution. The Director will deliver index expertisefor flagship and wealth-specific index products and will guide the sales team in assessing client fit for new product solutions.

The role will also play a key role in the integration planning and execution of Equity index products as part of the integration of Refinitiv and LSEG. In the event that the Transaction does not complete, the requirements of the role and responsibilities may be subject to change.
