Our client, a marketplace for high end event spaces, is looking for a talented Head of Product to join their team. As the Head of Product, you will lead product strategy, planning, and prioritization of the booking platform, partner with Engineering and Design colleagues through discovery and execution, and collaborate with the Sales, Operations, and Production teams. Through your efforts, you will help rally the organization around the product strategy and help focus the teams’ development efforts to both satisfy customer needs and meet the business objectives.     

 

Job Summary:

Product Strategy: Develop and refine the product vision and strategy in alignment with the company’s overall objectives. Identify market opportunities, customer needs, and industry trends to inform product decisions.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire the product management and design team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence. Provide guidance and support to enable the team to achieve their goals and maximize their potential.
Product Roadmap: Define and prioritize the product roadmap based on customer feedback, market research, and business goals. Ensure that product initiatives are aligned with the company’s strategic objectives and deliver maximum value to users.
Product Development: Oversee the end-to-end product development process, from concept to launch. Collaborate with engineering, design, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality products that meet user needs and exceed expectations, on time and on budget.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, sales, operations and production, to ensure alignment and coordination across departments. Champion a customer-centric approach and advocate for the voice of the customer in product decisions.
Product Metrics and Analytics: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of product initiatives. Analyze data and user feedback to gain insights, identify opportunities for improvement, and make data-driven decisions.
Market Analysis: Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and opportunities for differentiation. Use insights to inform product strategy and positioning.
Product Evangelism: Serve as a spokesperson for the product, both internally and externally. Communicate product vision, strategy, and updates to stakeholders, customers, and the broader community.

 

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Proven track record of success in product management, with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
Deep understanding of product management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data and insights into actionable strategies.
Excellent leadership and team-building abilities, with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Entrepreneurial mindset, with a passion for innovation, creativity, and problem-solving.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences effectively including executives.
