Role Profile
Investment Solutions (IS) Marketing is a component of the London Stock Exchange Group’s Global Communications & Marketing function. Investment Solutions is one of five business segments within the Data and Analytics Division. The IS segment includes the key brand, FTSE Russell, a leading global provider of indexes, data and analytics.
The Strategy & Planning Marketing Manager, Fixed Income and Multi Asset Indexes will work with Product Management, Research, Sales, Brand/Content, Activation, and Digital Marketing team colleagues to design, develop, execute, and measure integrated global marketing programs.
Core Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Product Management, Research, Sales, Brand/Content, Activation and Digital Marketing on global integrated marketing campaigns to support Brand and/or Revenue campaign objectives
- Develop marketing strategy and programs, including key marketing campaigns to achieve commercial objectives
- Develop messaging frameworks underpinning campaigns.
- Develop deep understanding of equity index product use cases, audiences, and target personas
- Develop value proposition for equity index products including key proof points for proposition, competitive differentiation / USPs
- Design and manage go to market plans for new equity index product launches, key enhancements, and recurring index changes impacting investors
- Contribute to overall product line’s go to market plan
- Ensure through data driven insights that the global marketing campaigns are successful and deliver high impact and support commercial objectives
Key Behaviours
- Partner with content teams to ensure the delivery of high quality sales enablement tools and materials (in partnership with Product Management) for key segments for existing and new equity index products
- Work with Research to influence Thought Leadership agenda to support marketing programs and new product launches
- Coordinate with Content team on topical coverage of key product lines
- Partner with Digital Marketing team to ensure the creation of web page copy – index family and promotional pages – to reflect evolving service expansion and updated positioning / messaging
- Partner with agencies and internal teams to execute programs through media partners and promotion on social channels
- Coordinate PR coverage where relevant for launches or other major events
- Coordinate webinars to promote both existing and new product launches

Desired experience and qualifications:
- 5+ years Marketing experience in a B2B environment (indexation, exchanges, fund management, ETFs, wire house, brokerage or investment banking preferred)
- Commercially minded, focused on ensuring the marketing programs have a material business impact and deep experience working with sales management and sellers to realize commercial ambition
- Demonstrated experiencing effectively influencing both business and marketing stakeholders simultaneously to achieve desired marketing and business outcomes
- Ability to persevere through a period of change and some levels of ambiguity as the LSEG marketing team is integrated into one central function
- Understanding of the roles indexes play across the investment ecosystem
- Understanding of global equity markets
- Strategic thinker able to exploit client opportunities through persona-specific product positioning and campaign development
- Strong storyteller who can turn complex, technical information into client-facing materials
- Excellent relationship management, project management and communication skills
- Extremely detail oriented and has knowledge of the full marketing mix
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in marketing, finance, English, or related fields.
