The Role:
Roc Nation, a Live Nation joint venture, is seeking a Manager of Data Science & Analytics who will lead reporting and data insights for the Music, Sports, and Brands verticals that encompass Roc Nation’s exciting roster of clients. Responsibilities will include standard weekly reports as well as daily ad hoc recaps to support Digital, Branding, and Marketing teams in a fast-paced working environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working intimately with data (Excel, data manipulation, statistical analysis) as well as an eagerness to work in the entertainment industry.
Responsibilities:
The Manager, Data Science & Analytics will work closely with digital account leads to ensure the timely and coordinated delivery of the following services and products to key stakeholders including internal management, branding, and philanthropy teams; artist managers and athlete agents; clients; and sponsors/branding partners.
Data Reporting, Insights, and Strategy
- Manage standardized weekly & monthly reporting
- Analyze social media, press, and consumption data for daily ad-hoc insights on clients, client activity, events, trends and markets
- Deliver key strategic take-aways for ad-hoc requests across all verticals (music, sports, brands)
- Lead post-mortem reporting for major events, including lessons learned and suggested next steps
- Design data visualizations and dashboards for relevant BI platforms & reports
- Monitor ongoing social listening queries
Data Infrastructure & Education
- Act as point person for 3rd party data partners and be intimately familiar with key platforms & data products within the company
- Effectively communicate data insights, processes, and statistical logic to internal and external partners with varying familiarity around data
- Lead awareness of new products, approaches, and trends in the data & technology space
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years in a data-driven and analytical role; preferably in the music, sports and/or entertainment industry
- Familiarity with major social media platforms and corresponding KPIs
- Fluent in Excel, and Boolean search tactics
- Acute attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Experience with web analytics including Google Analytics
- Ability to communicate and deliver results flexibly in ad hoc environments
- Self-starter; excited by fast-paced environments
