THE ROLE
TIDAL is looking for an innovative marketer to lead our marketing strategy and execution teams globally, across key verticals, including brand and creative, digital, artist and content related projects (such as music releases, tours, and other partnerships with artists), and experiential, alongside project management.
The candidate will lead a team and work with our senior management, content, editorial, artist relations, product and business teams to develop strategies and execute on multi channel marketing programs, in order to increase our brand awareness across target audiences, in line with our brand values and business plans and objectives, and to promote our ongoing marketing initiatives including original series and artist related programs.
The ideal candidate will understand how to effectively shape our brand positioning and tone of voice in order to achieve our broader strategic objectives, with a strong emphasis and appreciation of our brand’s and company’s vision, culture and market positioning as an innovative, artist-owned and quality-led music and entertainment streaming platform.
The ideal candidate will also know how to prepare and lead the execution of our marketing plans across various channels, with a particularly strong understanding of the digital environment.
A candidate with a strong background in global digital media platforms is required. Prior management experience is required and the candidate should be passionate about mentoring and growing talent on their team.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversees team of 15+ marketing professionals, working with a variety of different teams across the broader organization and with external contacts

Consolidates and structure our broad brand positioning and marketing strategy, based on an in-depth understanding of our vision, history, product and tech capabilities, and business objectives

Creates annual and quarterly marketing plans across all key verticals translating the broader strategies into effective campaigns with clearly defined and measurable goals

Leads the team in preparing and executing specific campaigns and initiatives on an ongoing basis to support our brand awareness and to promote various content and artist initiatives

Refines and oversees our tone of voice, in accordance with our brand values

Owns end to end campaign execution, including defining success metrics, target audience, messaging / messaging hierarchy, channel strategy, creative vision and ongoing optimization

Ideates on innovative concepts in support of TIDAL’s creative mission

Identifies opportunities with artists that TIDAL is well positioned to support, working with artist relations to craft the perfect marketing campaign to support artist programs

Understands the marketing funnel and is capable of creating and coordinating the execution of campaigns that have different strategies for impacting different parts of the funnel

Understands how to target different segments of customers with different types of brand, content or artist deliverables, both through digital channels and earned media

Oversees project managers to deliver flawlessly executed campaigns

Build close relationships with partners and stakeholders to understand, prioritize, and create a strategy across projects
REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university; Marketing or Communications degree required; Master’s Degree a plus

Has 10+ years of prior marketing experience, primarily with digital content platforms

Strong experience in leading teams

Ability to tell compelling stories related to a company’s brand, to a variety of audiences: internally, artist / client facing, and customer facing

Experience marketing across multiple channels, including digital, out of home, owned channels, and working with PR agencies to gain earned media

Understanding of business objectives and ability to translate those into actionable marketing strategies and plans
