TIDAL is a global music and entertainment platform that brings artists and fans together through unique music and content experiences and is currently available in 52 countries.
As Head of Business Analytics you will be responsible for TIDAL’s global analytical efforts, including developing deep and actionable insights about TIDAL’s customer base. You will create an “insights to action” framework across the organization that relies on capturing and using the right data, testing hypothesis, sharing learnings and best practices across various business units and continuously optimizing the business.
Responsibilities
- Ownership of global analytics team supporting acquisition, retention, marketing, content, partnership, business development, regional, and product teams
- Tools: Implement and own analytics enablement tools, such as Tableau, that allow stakeholders to understand trajectory of KPIs and manage their business units in an easy and automated way
- Data Infrastructure: Provide thought leadership in capturing and structuring large data sets to create unified views of the subscriber, subscriber behavior, and other data points
- Processes & Culture: Implement processes, set and track enterprise KPIs, conduct business reviews and create forums that allow the global team to share insights while holding stakeholders accountable for performance
- Trusted Adviser: Establish the analytics team as a trusted advisor for stakeholders across the organization, partnering with stakeholders to solve complex business problems and provide thoughtful recommendations based on insights
- Creation of customer insights and voice of the customer measurement function across, using voice of customer tools such as Qualtrics and Zendesk
- Develop long term research efforts into customer behavior, driving over time a deeper understanding of the company’s content and product features
- Co-ownership of enterprise budgeting and forecasting process with the Finance team
- Manage and mentor a large, geographically dispersed team
- Interface with the tech team to develop infrastructure and tools to promote the company’s analytical skill set and goals
Requirements
- 5-10+ years of data analytics and data science experience
- Proven experience in leading a team of analysts and data scientists
- Insights into the digital subscription environment
- Strong business acumen with a love for data; ability to mine complex and disparate data sets for actionable insights and develop strategies for maximal business impact
- Driven, self-motivated and results-oriented
- Ability to multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize tasks using established methodologies (ie – RACI model, etc)
- Ability to meet and perform under tight deadlines, think clearly under pressure, and exercise good judgment
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Strong verbal and written communication/presentation skills
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Bachelor’s Degree; or any equivalent experiences that show deep curiosity and rapid learning capabilities
