The D. E. Shaw group seeks a technical program manager to join its Systems Program Management team. The Systems department works closely with all business units firmwide to understand business needs and provide innovative solutions across a wide variety of technology. The Program Management team focuses on establishing a foundation to manage and optimize technical workloads and infrastructure with a strategic and collaborative approach. This dynamic position will offer a broad view into the firm s technology practice and provide opportunities to help drive the creation and adoption of exciting technical projects. What you’ll do day-to-day
You will work with seasoned business and technology leaders alongside multiple development teams to assist with the development and implementation of the firm’s technology platform. You’ll coordinate and advance new technical project work as well as manage timelines and overall project strategy. Example projects include managing the firm’s return to office plan from a technology standpoint or managing the build-out of the firm’s cloud strategy. The role offers the opportunity to liaise frequently with departments outside of Systems to advance large-scale technology projects across the firm. In addition, this role will provide an opportunity to create, implement, and promote new program management processes throughout the department.
